I believe healthcare is a human right. Oregon is leading the charge to provide universal healthcare to all citizens. Medical expenses are the number one cause of bankruptcy in the USA. Why di we have the most expensive healthcare in the world, but it only ranks 39th in terms of care.
The world is changing fast and the old ways of doing business need to adapt. The days when logging was the primary economic engine are gone. New means of economic prosperity need to be developed including tourism, high-value manufacturing and am stonger knowledge based economy. AI is coming and we can't stop it, so we need to prepare.
The natural beauty of our region can be used for economic gains that balance the needs of a promising tourism industry. Responsible forestry is possible as is being good shepherds of our fisheries and waterways.
