We can make a difference

If we put ourselves to the task we can address the most important issues facing our community

Affordable Housing

There are more than 1200 people in our community who don't have a place to call home. Homelessness is the basis of many of our problems and the fastest growing population is the elderly who are being priced out of their homes.

Oregon is on the verge of being one of the very first states to implement Single-payer Healthcare. It is a critical time for the State and we need to get the model right for it top be a success.

Climate change is real and there isn't much time left before the lasting impacts have a negative impact on our livelihoods. Effective stewardship of our natural resources is essential.

Tracy Thompson

Tracy is a scientist by training but has had a career marked by many transitions that moved him from the laboratory to international business in healthcare. After a term in the Army, Tracy completed his education in Biochemistry before working with teams that invented several medical diagnostic devices. He is the named inventor on over a dozen patents. After a company reorganization Tracy found himself responsible for the establishment and management of a global business operation to deliver those same products around the world. After a period conducting merger and acquisitions for a global science company. Tracy moved to New Zealand where he worked for a government research institute before finally starting his own company developing cancer immunotherapies. In retirement he finds he still has too much energy and is now dedicated to helping those in need here in our community.

The Issues

These are the things that matter to our neighbors and need to be addressed in Salem

The Supreme Court Speaks

As your candidate for state senator, I want to address the recent Supreme Court decision that has put our community in the national spotlight. The ruling in Grants Pass v. Johnson marks a significant shift in how we can approach the challenging issue of homelessness in our city and across Oregon.
